Tips on saving money during the coronavirus pandemic
Free delivery, free trials on streaming services, and major sales on clothing.
Delivery
We already ran a round-up of delivery options in the Bay Area, but in addition to those:
Uber Eats is waiving delivery delivery fees for independent restaurants.
Chipotle deliveries over $10 are free from March 10 to March 31.
Popeyes is offering straight-up free delivery, no strings.
KFC is also offering free delivery.
Blaze Pizza is offering free delivery on orders over $10.
Denny’s is offering free delivery until April 12
Streaming Services
Now is probably your best ever chance to catch up on all those shows that everyone in the world has seen except you. Never watched “Mad Men” or “The Sopranos?” Missed out on most of the work of Akira Kurosawa? Or maybe you just want to finally figure out which episode of “The Simpsons” has that one joke you always remember (It’s probably “Last Exit to Springfield”). No matter the case, here’s where you get started:
The Criterion film collection is offering 14 days free.
Shudder, the horror film streaming service, is offering free 30 days with the code “SHUTIN”
Disney+ has accelerated the rate at which movies go from theaters to their service -- you can already watch Frozen II
Universal is planning to release their movies online earlier as well -- you can stream “The Inivisible Man” as early as Friday, March 20
