4 сентября 1913. Последнее великое географическое открытие. Экспедиция на ледоколах "Таймыр" и "Вайгач" под руководством Бориса Андреевича Вилькицкого открыла Землю Николая II и остров Цесаревича Алексея (ныне - Северная земля).

А почему это "великое географическое открытие"?
(Кроме того, http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Severnaya_Zemlya даёт дату 3 сентября, бе-бе-бе).
