30 июня 1959 Авиакатастрофа на Окинаве. Истребитель F-100 Super Sabre ВВС США в результате отказа двигателя врезался в школу. Погибло 11 школьников, 156 получили различные травмы. Всего погибло 17, пострадало 210 человек.
