5 февраля 1958 у восточного побережья США в р-не о.Тайби в результате столкновения 2-х военных самолетов произведен аварийный сброс водородной бомбы "Марк-15" (в 100 раз мощнее чем та, которую сбросили на Хиросиму). В ходе десятинедельных поисков найти ее не удалось.
